"Retail Competitors
If you find a lower price on an identical branded item with the same features (in Home Electronics identical brand and model number) currently available for sale at another local competitor retail store, Sears will match that price plus, give you 10% of the difference. Just bring in the original advertisement to a sales associate at the time of, or within 30 days after, your purchase.
Online Retail Competitors
If you find a lower online price (including shipping, handling and delivery) on an identical branded item with the same features (in Home Electronics identical brand and model number) currently available from a local competitor retail store honoring its own online price and the item is currently available for sale and delivery in your area, Sears will match that total price Plus, give you 10% of the difference. Just print the ordering page, including shipping, handling and delivery, and bring it to your Sears store at the time of, or within 30 days after, your purchase. Sears Holdings
If you find a lower price on an identical item (brand and model number) currently available for sale and delivery in your area from another Sears Holdings retail format or website, Sears will match that price, but will not provide the additional 10% of the difference. All other rules for qualification apply.
Exclusions
Sears will not price match competitors' items that are limited in quantity, offered for sale for less than six hours during a day, or offered for sale during the day after Thanksgiving. Price Protection Policy

To claim a Price Protection Policy adjustment, go to your original Sears store where the purchase was made with your receipt. If your purchase was made on Sears.com, please send your salescheck number and item for which you are requesting a price adjustment to priceprotection@customerservice.sears.com.         Our goal is always to be the low price leader in every community where we operate. Our customers trust us to have every day low prices ... there's no need for "special sales."
Our unbeatable promise:
Store managers make the final decision in always taking care of our customers, but we do have guidelines for matching our competition.

There are 3 charity-run thrift stores:
Goodwill:
5515 SW 21st St
Topeka, KS 66604
(785) 228-9774
Hours:
Mon-Sat: 9 am to 8 pm
Sun: 11 am to 6 pm
About 84% of proceeds go to training and employment for disabled people or others with employment barriers.
Salvation Army Thrift Store:
2905 SW Topeka Blvd
Topeka, KS 66611
(785) 266-3806
Salvation Army is a Christian organization dedicated to evangelizing and helping people in need. I was unable to find numbers regarding where the proceeds from the thrift store goes. I've heard a lot of people say that most of the proceeds go to the Kansas City area, but I'd disregard this as there is no report on it currently.
Rescue Mission Thrift Store:
901 N Kansas Ave
Topeka, KS
(785) 235-9094
Hours:
Monday thru Friday - 9am-5pm
Saturday - 9am-4pm
Sunday - Closed
The Rescue Mission is a non-denominational Christian charity that provides Christian based social services to the poor and needy. All proceeds go to supporting the mission.
There is also one non-charity thrift store that isn't a specialty store:
Maj R Thrift
2020 NW Topeka Blvd
Topeka, KS 66608
(785) 234-3101
Okay, this one I haven't visited yet, but I heard it has a very wide selection of goods.
Flea Markets
Joyland Flea Market
2901 SE Adams St
Topeka, KS 66605
(785) 266-5401
Lots of furniture, mowers, and appliances with a smattering of other stuff. It's cluttered and such, but the people are very nice and I've heard that if you're truly in need, they'll work with you on the price.
Used Clothing:
Branded
2111 SW Belle Ave # C
Topeka, KS 66614
(785) 272-5043
They have decently priced used clothing. For women, the sizes run to about a 20/22. Not the best used clothing store, but worth a look.
Deja Vu:
3118 SW 29th St
Topeka, KS
(785) 271-4421
I have not been there, but will have a description later on.
Fashion Exchange:
5967 SW 29th St # 220B
Topeka, KS 66614
(785) 271-8500
Again, I've not been to this one, but from what I hear, they cater mainly to professional women from their late twenties and over.
Plato's Closet:

Topeka, KS 66614
(785) 783-3370
Plato's Closet
Hours:
Monday - Friday: 10-8
Saturday: 10-6
Sunday: 12-5
They cater to mainly teenagers and people in their early twenties. Also, they only carry up to a size 14. They are pretty reasonably priced, but some of the girls working there aren't very professional.
Prairie Trading Company:
2900 SW Oakley Ave # M
Topeka, KS 66614
(785) 228-9188
prairietradingco.net
Hours:
Monday – Friday: 10-6
Saturday: 10-5
I haven't been there in years, but it's pretty consistently ranked high in customer satisfaction.
Used Furniture:
Once More Decor
3009 SW Topeka Blvd
Topeka, KS 66611
(785) 267-6342
They have gently used furniture. It's more expensive than the other stores, but it very good quality. You get what you pay for. Still a bargain.
Used Baby and Children's Stores:
Mommy and Me
3703 SW Burlingame Rd # 500
Topeka, KS 66609
(785) 266-0375
Mommy and Me
Hours:
Monday-Friday: 10-6
Saturday: 9-5
They have a decent selection, though we felt some stuff overpriced.
Lollipop Lane
3434 SW 6th Ave
Topeka, KS 66606
(785) 354-7979
It's cluttered, but they have very good prices on childrens furniture. We got a perfect 4-in-1 crib for $150, when it retails for $350.
Used Books:
Books & More
2705 NW Topeka Blvd
Topeka, KS 66617
(785) 232-2383
A bit disorganized, but the staff is very friendly. The paperbacks are all 1/2 the retail price.

1426 S Kansas Ave
Topeka, KS
(785) 357-4708
420 SE 29th St # B
Topeka, KS

People are very nice. The price is about 1/2 retail, with slight discount for buying in groups of 3. They also have used movies and an adult section. The one on Kansas has am email list, where you can receive weekly coupons.
Lloyd Zimmer's Books and Maps
117 SW 6th Ave
Topeka, KS
(785) 354-8899
Okay, I'm cheating a bit on this one, as he mainly carried rare or hard to find books and therefore is more expensive. However, if you need something specific, its worth a look.

Leapster games on sales for $15, which you can stack with a $5 coupon found here. These games normally retail for $24.95, to this is 60% off.
Good Deal on skin care gift sets. They are priced $9.99 each. There are two to choose from. The Dove set contains lotion, body wash, deodorant, bar of soap, and small tissue. The advertised one is Coll moisture. The Oil of Olay set contains body wash, lotion, bar of soap, Venus razor, and small tissue. The advertised one appears to be shea butter. I know that the Dove deoderant alone is over $#, so if you use the products, it's a very good deal.
Land O'Lakes butter is on sale for $2, which you can stack with a $.55 coupon found on the Land O'Lakes website. At Dillon's, Land O'Lakes tends to retail around $3.50. This will generally make is less than a generic found at either Walmart or Dillons.
Possibly more to come once I wander around the store. Happy Shopping!

Diet Pepsi offer: Diet Pepsi twelve packs are on sale for 3/$9. Then, when you buy three, you get one free. Stack that with a free flavored Diet Pepsi when you buy two found here. In the end: 4 Diet Pepsi twelve packs for just $6!
Select bags of Hershey's are on sale 3/$7. Then you stack the $1.50 off coupon from last Sunday's paper, so 3/$5.50 or $1.87 each. Not the best deal on here, but Easter's coming up soon.
Nature Made vitamins are BOGO (buy one, get one free). You can stack that with two $1 off coupons from the March P & G Saver.
Select Hasbro games (Elefun and Gator Golf, etc) are 25%. You can stack those with $5 off coupons found here.

Dillon's Deals Ends: 3-31-09
Great deal on Life cereal! It's on sale 4/$10. When you buy four, the register automatically takes off another $4. That brings it to 4/$6. Then, stack with two $1 off TWO boxes of Life found either here or here. (After the first printing, press the back button 6-8 times to reprint.) That makes them $1 each, or 62% off!
Another Quaker deal is on oatmeal. The Instant Oatmeal boxes are on sale 2/$4. When you buy 2, you get another $1 off. Then, you stack that with a $2 off TWO boxes of Quaker oatmeal, found here. That makes them $1 each when they normally retail for over $3!
The next deal is a but complicated. Select Pillsbury refrigerated biscuits, crescents, and pizza doughs are on sale 4/$5. You get $1 off if you buy four. There are a couple of different coupons you can use. There were $.60 off 2 Pillsbury Pizza Dough coupons in last Sunday's paper. Dillon's will double those to $1. There are also $.35 off coupons found here. They say "Do Not Double or Triple." However, the Dillon's scanner doesn't seem to know this and they will be generally doubled, unless a cashier manually overrides it. The cashiers I've had generally do not do this, even when I point it out, but if they do, it's their job. The coupon arrangement I used brought the total down to $1.80, or $.45 each! I bought pizza dough, which regularly retails at $2.85 and crescent rolls that were normally $1.35, so it was a great deal!
Select Healthy Choice meals are 4/$9. You can stack that with two $1 off TWO Healthy Choice Meals found here. That brings them to $1.75 each, which is still a bit expensive for a frozen dinner, but Healthy Choice meals are more expensive, and, know you, healthy!

Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids at cheap price.
Right now, HyVee had the premier 1.25 cup container priced at $1.65. Dillon's has select varieties of Easy Find Lids containers on sale for $1.99. You can get a $1 off coupon here or here. You can print out two by pressing the back button a few times after it prints.
After the coupon, I got my Premier container for $.65! It sells for over $3 in most stores. The ones at Dillon's will be $.99 each, but I am not sure which exact ones are on sale yet. These containers are a much greener way of taking a lunch to work or school.

Alright, I've got the bug
That's right, I've started faithfully using coupons! I'm a bargain hunter from way back, but coupons always seemed like too much work. Well, in this budget tightening time, I've reconsidered. And? It's not as much work as I thought once you get organized.
